ABOUT THE ZINE

What will the zine feature?

The zine will feature numerous heroes from One Punch Man who are NOT class-S or focused much on, and have made at least one appearance in the manga! Each hero will get their own page, and some information will be on it including their name and rank.

What's the zine's purpose?

The idea of the zine came to be out of my love for the One Punch Man heroes, and so, to show off that love, I wanted to create a project featuring as many of these heroes as I can and allow others to contribute showing off these awesome characters! After all, I'm not the only one who adores these wonderful and interesting heroes :] So, I suppose the purpose is to show off and bring more love to these guys, because they deserve it! Even if they were odd, one-off characters.

Why is Sekingar part of the visuals promotions?

Sekingar seems to hold an admiration for heroes, and wanted to be one himself. However, due to his wife's worries, he became an executive and worked under the Hero Association that way instead, and helping the heroes in his own way. So, I'm using him as a poster-boy for this zine

What is a zine?

In this instance, we are referring to fanzines. Fanzines are fanmade, non-official works consisting of different art forms such as digital drawings, writings, and more for a specific piece of media, such as animes, video games, or TV shows. Sometimes they're even more specific, like for a certain character or ship within the media!

When will the zine be finished and published?

Looking towards sometime in the summer, possibly mid/late July to early August depending on when I get everything out.

How many heroes will be featured?

I aim to include at least twenty heroes! Possibly eighteen minimum. Not entirely sure as of yet, but I want to include as many as I can without the project taking too long. Which, may make room to make more in the future featuring the rest!

Will applicants be rewarded?

Because this zine is free, I'm afraid I will not be able to offer much as compensation. However, I am willing to give a digital drawing of a character of an applicants choosing as a thank you for contributing!

GUIDELINES

All applicants must be 13+.

General Applicant Guidelines

- Need an extension? Please let me know immediately!
- Keep information about the zine to a minimum online until the zine has been published.
- The exception to this are WIPs, which you may share to anyone! Just not the finished product until otherwise told.
- Absolutely NO AI or plagiarism. If you are found using AI or taking another's work will result in your removal in the project.
- Please respect one another, if you find that another contributor to the zine is someone you don't like, please keep it to yourself, or let me know. If you are uncomfortable to continue on with the project because of this person, you are free to resign from the project.
- While you are not obligated to, feel free to promote the zine, as well as tease your work!

Page Artist Applicants

- Make sure your canvas is portrait sized, like a full page poster! (Ratio size TBD)
- While it's preferred to stick to canon, you are free to add additional details you'd like to the characters.
- Does not need to be full body, as long as it takes up the entire page!

Writer Applicants

- Keep fics between 800-2,000 words. If you'd like to go over, please let me know and why.
- Feel free to make fics about the character's past, interacting with other characters (make sure your chosen character is the focus unless you're including others you have chosen), anything within canon, or AUs! (For AUs, state it obv)
- Writing is not limited to fics, so if you'd like, you can submit poetry as well! Or, an analysis of the character. Because those are fun :] keep analysis between 600-2k words
- The writing will go hand in hand with character art, but does not need to be related. If a character does not have an artist, I will provide the art for them!

I am unfortunately one guy who's putting this thing together, and a full-time student as well. So, I'm going to be pretty slow when it comes to responding and getting things out, but I will do my best! This is also the first ever zine I have participated in and hosted, so feel free to give me any advice if you have any!
